What's the 2022 Outlook for Supercomputing?
Satoshi Matsuoka talks about the 2022 outlook for supercomputing as he accepts the IEEE Computer Society 2014 Sidney Fernbach Award. He received the award for his work on advanced infrastructural platforms, large-scale supercomputers, and heterogeneous GPU/CPU supercomputers.
The Sidney Fernbach Award honors contributions in the application of high performance computers using innovative approaches. Dr. Matsuoka accepted his award at SC14 Conference on 18 November 2014 in New Orleans, LA.
Satoshi Matsuoka is a Professor at the Global Scientific Information & Computing Center, hosted by the Tokyo Institute of Technology. A leader of several supercomputing research projects, such as the MEXT Green Supercomputing, JSPS Billion-Scale Supercomputer Resilience, and the JST-CREST Extreme Big Data.
